Quest Diagnostics promotes breast cancer awareness as ‘presenting sponsor’ at
As a part of our exciting partnership with the New York Giants, Quest Diagnostics was the presenting sponsor of the Sunday, October 5 game vs. the Atlanta Falcons at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The theme of the game was “Breast Cancer Awareness,” with Quest and the Giants partnering on a number of fun activities both for fans at the game and for those watching from home and following on social media. With the goal of raising awareness, fans were encouraged to take photos of themselves enjoying the game and supporting breast cancer awareness, then post or tweet the photos using the hash tag #(forget name). Quest and the Giants committed to donate money to breast cancer charities for each post.
Quest and the Giants honored Jill Giuricich, a breast cancer survivor, during the game and highlighted her story to fans, with messages encouraging everyone to learn more about evaluating their own family’s breast cancer risk.
Jill’s story highlights - how important it is to be proactive about your health and get tested. Jill acted as the ‘honorary captain’ of the game and participated in the pre-game coin toss and was later highlighted on the field with her family.
As the presenting sponsor, Quest Diagnostics had a major presence on-site at the game to help promote breast cancer awareness. Quest encouraged fans to take photos of themselves in pink at the game, either in their seats or at 1 of the 3 Quest photo booths throughout MetLife Stadium and post to Twitter and Instagram. For each social media post, Quest and the Giants offered to make a charity donation to the American Cancer Society and the breast cancer advocacy group, FORCE.
As proud partners in health, Quest Diagnostics is committed to keeping the NY Giants family health both on and off the field. We are working together to continue to raise awareness by screening Giants players and making available BRCA tests to all players, wives and female NYG employees who are eligible.
After thousands of social media posts and pictures, Quest and the Giants donated $50,000 to breast cancer charities.
