Clinical Significance

GIARDIA IS A PROTOZOAN THAT CAN CAUSE DIARRHEA. INFECTION
OCCURS AFTER INGESTION OF CONTAMINATED FOOD OR WATER.
ANTIGEN DETECTION IS CONSIDERED AN ALTERNATIVE TO STOOL
EXAMINATION.
