The interconnectivity of chronic conditions

As many as 45% of Americans have a chronic disease, and more than half of older adults have 3 or more chronic conditions.1 There are shared cardiometabolic risk factors contributing to related conditions, such as cardiovascular disease, poor glycemic control, chronic kidney disease (CKD), fatty liver disease, and common endocrine disorders. Screening is crucial: many of these conditions remain clinically silent for years in early stages, when identification is critical to reverse or prevent serious illness.

Identify more at-risk patients with comprehensive risk assessment testing:

Guideline-based testing for chronic kidney disease with the Kidney Profile

Traditional serum creatinine (eGFR) testing may only reveal one side of the CKD story. For the complete picture, guidelines recommend both the eGFR blood test and the urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio (uACR) test to assess kidney function damage.3

Quest offers a Kidney Profile consisting of these 2 guideline-based tests with a single test code to help diagnose CKD, manage disease progression, establish follow-up testing frequency, and know when referral to a nephrologist is recommended.

Guidelines recommend annual Kidney Profile testing in all patients with3:

  • Diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Existing CKD
  • Family history of CKD
  • Other risk factors for CKD

2024 KDIGO clinical practice guidelines include a new testing algorithm for CKD

A new formula for estimating CKD stage combines 2 biomarkers, creatinine and cystatin C. Updated guidance also includes a heatmap for testing frequency and recommended care approach for CKD patients.3

Uncover hidden risk and take action with the Metabolic Risk Panel

Prevalence of metabolic syndrome in US adults continues to increase.5 Lifestyle modification can help reverse the course of disease progression, but early identification is critical to successful intervention.

Our Metabolic Risk Panel can help you uncover hidden risk sooner, offering data for deeper insight into the metabolic state of your patients than any one test alone. Metabolic Risk Panel results come with an easy-to-interpret enhanced report for the 4 component tests.

  • Apolipoprotein B (ApoB)
  • Insulin Resistance Panel with Score
  • HbA1c
  • Lipid panel
Metabolic Risk Panel enhanced reporting

Go beyond lipid panels and A1c for a more comprehensive assessment

Personalize risk assessment for your patients and implement evidence-based strategies that can prevent or delay disease progression and related complications.
