Dr Faix is a pathologist with experience in both clinical chemistry and clinical immunology. After receiving his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College (now Drexel University), he trained in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology and completed a fellowship in Clinical Immunology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. He worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston before moving to Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, CA where he served as Director of Clinical Chemistry & Immunology for many years. More recently, he had similar responsibilities at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY.

For more than 5 years, Ann Salm, PhD, has served as director and lead medical science liaison (MSL) for infectious disease and immunology in field medical affairs for Quest Diagnostics. In that capacity, she is an MSL mentor and field clinical consultant for infectious disease and immunodiagnostics, with a specific focus on molecular infectious disease, transplant, allergy and autoimmune testing. She also provides detailed scientific data internally to sales team members, and externally to key opinion leaders and thought leaders in those clinical disciplines. Finally, Dr Salm assists in the development and implementation of training programs to internal and external stakeholders, and supports Quest‘s ongoing research and publication strategies.
