Genetic Insights

We support your commitment to improving the health of individuals, families, and communities.

More than 26 million Americans have proactively initiated a consumer genetic test—a trend that’s expected to continue or even accelerate. 1

How do we best serve this growing demand? By providing tools for patients to partner with healthcare providers.

We want people to know how to be proactive about their next steps. And we want you, as a provider, to feel equipped to confidently manage your patients’ care, based on their test results.

Genetic Insights tools

Genetic reports. Personalized, easy-to-understand, evidence-based reports for your patients.

Lab reports. Easy-to-print lab reports to share with providers.

Quick Reference Guides. Evidence-based, distilled information for providers about test results, next steps, and clinical guidelines to facilitate meaningful, productive conversations.

Genetic counseling. Access to genetic counselors to answer questions, for both providers and patients—at no extra cost.

Clinical guidance

We work with PWNHealth’s independent clinician network of board-certified physicians and genetic counselors to ensure clinical guidance of Genetic Insights at every step of the way

Our 5-step process:

  1. Test requests are individually evaluated for eligibility.
  2. A board-certified physician submits a test order to the Quest Diagnostics CLIA-certified lab.
  3. Depending on reported health history, your patient may get a personalized message to review the details of their test evaluation.
  4. After the test is performed, a board-certified lab director reviews and signs off on the results.
  5.  The lab report is released to a PWN network provider and is available for your patient on the Genetic Insights online dashboard.

Genetic counseling

We want everyone who purchases Genetic Insights to have access to online genetic counseling, and we include it in the cost of the test.

Your patients can:

    • Submit a question to a genetic counselor.

    • Schedule a 1-on-1 session with a genetic counselor to discuss results.
